One of our favorite pass-times during this quarantine is binge-watching tv-series and discovering new movies. Hubby and I are big action fans so we prefer shows and movies with a lot of it. We also love a bit of mystery and comedy as well. Before quarantine life, we tried to spend some time each night watching tv together. Even if it means we could only get a half-hour in. Sometimes we were successful. Then there were times where I would be knocked out ten minutes into it. However, now that we are home all day, we have been able to catch up on a whole lot of missed shows.
One thing to note is when hubby and I find a show that we like, we have to watch every show in the series back to back. It has been this way since our honeymoon. Backstory: We were evacuated from our beautiful resort – Our Lucaya – in the Bahamas due to a hurricane and as a result, we ended up in a hotel in West Palm Beach. While there, we discovered the show Flashpoint, and we just could not stop watching it. We literally watched the show every single day.
Today, I am sharing some of the ones our family can’t seem to get enough of. I have to admit that there are a few that we’ve seen in the past, but some were totally brand new to us. One thing for sure is that they all were worth watching. Most of the recommended entertainment is available on Netflix, Disney+, or Prime Video.
Now time for the list I promised.

Binge-watching has become a survival must for us in order to make these lockdown days go by faster.
Our little shortlist of entertainment has been helping us not only survive this quarantine but spend valuable time together. It allows us to engross ourselves in some other reality and not be so consumed by what is actually happening in the world. No, we aren’t oblivious to what is going on. We just choose not to make it our top priority. Our motto is to:
Stay Safe and Stay Sane!
Granted our kids are getting more screen-time now than they have ever had before. However, we are selective about what they watch and for how long. My husband and I are big on limiting the number of hours our daughter gets to be on her iPad or any other gadget. We use parental controls to automate this and it has been working for us.
With that said, when they are allowed some screen-time, we have been enjoying the binge-watching life together as a family.
